"It's good to have a game this weekend because we're on a little run ourselves which we're happy with and we want to keep progressing. A weekend breather may have been nice but we were due to play them in January when you can't guarantee the weather. I think it's a good thing that we try and keep the momentum going.

"Football is not rocket science and they (the loan players) know how we want to play. We're playing alright at the moment and a couple will have to wait for their chance and I'm sure it will come but it would be nice to pick the same team for the next few weeks because we're winning games but going to Morecambe's ground and playing as well as we did last weekend will give us a great chance.

"There are little departments in the team that are working well but we've still got to keep working and ramming it home that this is what we've got to do and demand more from each other. If we do that then we can turn some frustrating draws into wins which will help propel us up the table in a really tight division.

"Jermaine McGlashan showed his liking for the position (striker) and it's an option that we've got. Jamie and Terry were a little under the weather last week and it was the natural option for me and I think it worked quite well particularly in the first half. We changed the system a little at the end to throw everything at them and we got something out of the game. The players like the way we are playing at the moment and the system suits us. People talk about the diamond being a bit more open and it's certainly stopped the flow of goals against us but I think that is all down to making the right decisions and not making as many mistakes. Hopefully we can go into it in the form that we have been in of late and hopefully pick up 3 points.

"We've stopped losing games and we're now drawing more than we would like but that's not through lack of desire or endeavour. Sometimes you just have to get to that next platform before you can really kick on. I feel we're ready and I feel there have been some really good performances of late. We're just looking for more of the same and more than they've already give. I feel there is more to come from the group and sometime it just takes a little bit of time and perseverance. The boys are more focussed and there is a really good spirit amongst the camp.

"Sometimes you get a little luck over the years and then it deserts you. Myself and my staff have looked back over some games and wondered how we haven't won and how many points we could have had but we don't deal with that at this club - we deal with reality. We have to make sure our focus is purely on Morecambe. The old saying is that the harder you work, the luckier you get and that is exactly what we need to do. We've had a little luck over the last two years to be where we are and contending at the right end of the table but luck certainly isn't on our side at the moment in time so we must keep plugging away, keep the spirit and commitment up then I have no doubt that we can turn draws into wins.

"Morecambe have got some good players. I know we beat them earlier in the season, they had a man sent off just after half time and we played well that night but it's going to be a tough game. They are just outside the playoffs and they'll fancy themselves. They had a great comeback last week and Jim (Bentley) is a really good manager who gets his players right at it but they play good football too. We have some obstacles to overcome but we're in a decent run of form ourselves and hopefully we'll go up there and get a positive result."
