Extended deal for Omari Sterling-James

16 December 2014

Omari Sterling-James has signed an extended contract that will keep him at Cheltenham Town until the end of the 2015/16 season.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder signed a six-month deal with the Robins last summer after a successful trial period, impressing in the pre-season friendlies.

He stepped up from Southern League Premier Division Redditch United, making his Football League debut as a substitute in Cheltenham's 3-2 win at Tranmere Rovers on August 23, when he helped to tip the game back in the Robins' favour.

The former Birmingham City youth player has made a total of four starts and eight substitute appearances this term, most recently going on at Mansfield Town and helping Paul Buckle's side hit back for a point thanks to Zack Kotwica's late equaliser last Saturday.
