Russell Milton has served Cheltenham Town as both a player and in coaching roles that have included holding the position of Academy Manager, caretaker manager and his current role as assistant manager in Michael Duff's coaching set-up.

Starting his playing career at Arsenal in the late 1980s, he spent time playing in Japan and Hong Kong, before returning to England to sign for Dover Athletic.

He then joined Cheltenham in 1997 and helped the club progress from non-league to become a Football League side for the first time.

His time at the club as a player came to an end in 2003, and he returned to non-league, signing for Bath City.

He would return to the Robins though in 2010 as part of the youth set-up and in April 2015 made the step up to the first team to become assistant manager.
