Newport-born Ryan Broom is a graduate of the Bristol Rovers Academy set-up, having joined the club as a 12-year-old, and made his professional debut in 2015 in the League Cup against Birmingham City.

The Welsh ace went on to make his Football League debut in 2016 – against home town club Newport - and scored his first goals for the club in 2017, netting a brace against Wycombe Wanderers.

The versatile midfielder has also had loan spells with Bath City and during the 2017/18 campaign at National League side Eastleigh, where he scored three goals in 13 appearances for the Spitfires.

Following a successful period with the Robins from 2018-2020, making 86 appearances in all competitions, he joined League One outfit Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

During his time with the Posh, he was loaned to Burton Albion and Plymouth Argyle. He was then signed back by the Robins from Peterborough on a one-year deal in the 2022/23 season on deadline day.
