The 27-year-old arrived at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium on an 18-month contract, reuniting with manager Darrell Clarke, who he spent time playing under during his time with Walsall.
Kinsella joined the Saddlers when he was eight years old and went on to play over 200 times in the Midlands in both League One and League Two.
The former Republic of Ireland youth international joined Swindon Town in the Summer of 2023, making 22 fourth tier appearances before making the switch to join the Robins.
