An experienced striker in the EFL, Matty became the clubs first Deadline Day signing in January 2024, reuniting with manager Darrell Clarke, who he worked with at Bristol Rovers and Port Vale.
The 33-year-old arrived at the club with over 100 EFL goals to his name with the likes of boyhood club Oxford United, Forest Green Rovers and Bristol City.
Taylor scored on his debut for the Robins, netting a consolation in a 3-1 home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.
