Ben Williams joined the club in January 2022 from Barnsley.
The left-sided defender had been a part of the Tykes side that won promotion to the Championship at the end of the 2018/19 season.
A Wales under-21 international, he was called up to the full senior squad for European Championship qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary.
His career started in the youth team at Blackburn Rovers before he broke into senior football at Barnsley.
