Young centre back Andy Smith joined the club on loan from Championship side Hull City in January 2024 for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
Born in Banbury, Smith grew up in the East Riding of Yorkshire and joined the Tigers academy as a 10-year-old, playing his way through the ranks.
He would eventually captain the Under 18s during his two years as a scholar before gaining his first senior experience with League Two Salford City.
Two seperate loan spells with Grimsby Town followed where Smith played 67 times, helping the Mariners back to the Football League before consolidating their fourth tier status last term.
