Mark Yates is expecting another tough match in the Capital One Cup when Crawley come to town.
Mark Yates speaking to the media ahead of Tuesday night's Capital One Cup match v. Crawley Town:"Jamie Cureton may be out for a month so he will miss 5 or 6 games. There's not too many Saturday-Tuesday games for quite a while so he won't miss too much. He will be a bad patient for Weso to have because all he wants to do is play football and train. We'll keep him wrapped up, strengthen the shoulder and do everything we can to get him back as quickly as we can.
"We're close to our budget but we have Byron, Ash who can play up top and of course Terry Gornell. We'll be fine.
"I thought Byron Harrison did well, particularly in the first half and he got into the game quickly. I thought we were a real threat in the first half but the second wasn't quite the same. There's plenty to work on. We're still disappointed not to have won the game but we have to move onto the next game. Burton are a decent side and they proved that last season. We should have won the game but unfortunately we didn't and now they have to be ready for Tuesday night.
"The first game of the season is out the way and it was a point gained. We would have liked all three but against a good side it may well be a good point.
"I've seen Crawley a couple of times and they want to pay decent football. Nicky Adams is a big threat for them and they have good players but keeping hold of McFadzean will be good for them. I know Richie (Barker) well and they will be coming here to win. They beat Coventry at the weekend, who beat us in pre-season, so we know how tough it is but we will try to play something like we did in the first half on Saturday.
"We've had some tough League Cup ties in the past and this one isn't any easier. They are a good side and it will be a decent game but we'll give it our best shot. We want to do as well as we can in every game we can and if you can win then there is the chance to play a big boy straight away. We played well against MK Dons last season and lost out on play-offs but just because we haven't progressed in the last three years, it doesn't mean we haven't wanted to. There won't be too many changes Tuesday night."
