We are delighted to welcome defender Jack Shepherd to the club on loan from fellow League One outfit Barnsley until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old arrives at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium having made nine league appearances for the Tykes so far this term.
He played the full 90 minutes in the Barnsley defence that kept a clean sheet and ran out 2-0 winners against the Robins back in September.
A left-sided centre-half, Shepherd played the entirety of his youth career in non-league in Yorkshire with the likes of Penistone Church and Pontefract Collieries.
He signed his first ever professional deal back in the Summer when his boyhood club came calling to bring him into the U21 setup.
But he quickly became an asset for Neill Collins' side and made his debut off the bench on the opening day of the season, in a 7-0 thrashing of Port Vale.
Shepherd comes in to provide further defensive competition, having started the last four games for Barnsley, registering an assist in the recent defeat to Exeter City.
Jack's transfer is sponsored by Little Jet Company and remember you can sponsor Jack by getting in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
Welcome to Cheltenham, Jack!
