Since 1993 Gloucestershire Young Carers has been supporting young carers across the county, from humble beginnings with just five young carers in a café in Stroud to a 26 strong team supporting over 1,000 young carers across the entire county.
Gloucestershire Young Carers work with - and for - young people who take on a caring role for a family member. They provide young carers with advice, advocacy, group support, short breaks, and safe spaces to share their experiences and provide support for them and their families.
Supporting over 1,000 young carers between the ages of 8 and 24, with over 7,000 young carers currently estimated within Gloucestershire, they could fill the Completely-Suzuki Stadium and still need more seats!
This year to celebrate their 30th Anniversary, they are encouraging people to join their 30 for 30 campaign. You can help celebrate the landmark by taking on one of the 30 for 30 challenges or by creating your own and raise vital funds to enable them to be there for the next 30 years and beyond.
