The gaffer spoke to the local press as we welcome Barnsley to the Completely-Suzuki Stadium this Saturday.
The Robins will be looking to get their first win of the season, in our last league game for two weeks before to the international break.
Assessing this weekend's test, Elliott said:
"The temptation is to rip everyhting up and start again off the back of three or four games.
"But we know if we stick to our principles and we keep chipping away at it, stay strong with it, we'll come out the other side.
"It hasn't been the easiest of starts and this will be another tough game but we'll go and have a right good go at them."
