Kevin Russell departs Cheltenham Town

10 October 2023

Cheltenham Town can confirm that assistant manager Kevin Russell has left the club by mutual consent.

Kevin joined the club ahead of our pre-season clash with Birmingham City this Summer, filling the void left by now Head of Recruitment Russell Milton.

He then took on the interim manager position for our League One matches with Stevenage and Lincoln City after Wade Elliott left the club.

Upon Kevin's departure, Robins chairman David Bloxham has said:

“I am extremely grateful to Kevin for his hard work and dedication and for his willingness to step in to manage the side during an extremely difficult period between Wade leaving and Darrell’s appointment.

"I wish Kevin well for the future and he will always be a welcome visitor to the Completely-Suzuki Stadium. “

Everyone at the club would like to place on record their thanks to Kev for his contribution to the club both as assistant and interim manager in the last few months and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
