EFL Week Of Action 23/24: Kids for a Quid

7 November 2023

It's the EFL's Week Of Action for the 2023/24 season. Every day of this week we will be highlighting and celebrating the work done in our community by the football club and the Cheltenham Town Community Trust.

Ahead of tonight's Bristol Street Motors Trophy clash with West Ham United U21, we take a look at the succesful 'Kids for a Quid' campaign, started by the club to encourage more and more young supporters and families to the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

Now in it's third season, the initiative has seen us offer tickets to under 14s for selected league and cup fixtures at the discounted price of just £1, and we've had a great response.

We saw nearly 4,000 young Robins take advantage of the promotion in its inaugural season followed by a similar figure during another succesful League One campaign last term.

Tonight's clash with the young Hammers will be our fourth 'Kids for a Quid' fixture already this season, following the home matches with Stevenage, Newport County and Cambridge United.

We had over 300 young fans attend that first win of the new season against the U's a few weeks ago and we're not finished yet.

Our home matches against Carlisle United and Port Vale in the New Year are our other two remaining KFAQ fixtures and we can't wait to welcome even more of the new generation of Robins fans to the club.

Everyone involved at Cheltenham Town sees the massive importance in making games more affordable and accesible for young people and it's been a great project to help do so, whilst improving the atmosphere.
