Robins boss Darrell Clarke spoke after his side drew 1-1 with Wigan Athletic at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium this afternoon.
Liam Sercombe's first half penalty cancelled out an early Wigan opener that saw Lewis Freestone turn the ball into his own net.
Speaking after full-time Clarke said:
"After the first 15 minutes the boys put in a really good performance. It was great to see a lot of our work from training in fruition.
"You are as good as what your crowd do after the game. The boys got a fantastic response from the supporters who were excellent today."
