May on 20 league goals and another memorable season with the Robins

7 May 2023

Alfie May spoke to the press following his 20th League One goal of the season and his career at Cheltenham Town.

The forward recieved a standing ovation after coming off towards the end of the match, an opportunity for May to thank the fans for all of their support for him over the years whilst with the Robins.

"It was nice [the ovation]. The gaffer spoke to me and it was something I really wanted. I wanted to say thank you for all the support I was given here," said May.

The forward joined the club in 2020 and has since etched his name in Cheltenham's history. From winning the League Two title, to becoming the club's highest ever EFL goalscorer, May has given Robins fans memories they'll never forget.

"I don't know what will happen, but if that is the last time I play for Cheltenham Town and to finish with a goal on my last touch, then it's been a pleasure and I can't thank everyone enough."
