May nominated for PFA League One Fans’ Player of the Year

16 May 2023

Cheltenham Town forward Alfie May has been nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors Fans' League One Player of the Year.

May completed another stunning campaign for the Robins, making it 22 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.

Voting is now up and running for the PFA Player of the Year, and you can vote for Cheltenham's number 10 here. Voting will close on Sunday 28th May at 23:59pm.

The 29-year-old hit the 20 goal mark in League One, scoring his 20th goal with his last touch on the final day of the season against Charlton Athletic.

His goal tally brought him joint fourth highest in the League One goalscorers list, level with Portsmouth's striker Colby Bishop.

The other nominees for the PFA award are: Aaron Collins (Bristol Rovers), David McGoldrick (Derby County), Conor Chaplin (Ipswich Town), Jonson Clarke-Harris (Peterborough United) and Finn Azaz (Plymouth Argyle).

2023/24 season tickets are still available at early bird prices, and will be until Friday, 2nd  June. Join us at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium as we target an unprecedented fourth League One season in a row.
