May on his 50th EFL goal for the Robins

12 March 2023

Forward Alfie May reached another milestone for Cheltenham Town after reaching 50 EFL goals for the club after hitting a brace in the 3-0 victory over Peterborough United.

The 29-year-old scored our second goal with a sensational volley 50 yards from goal, over the head of Posh keeper Will Norris.

May then capped off a memorable League One away day with a half-volley on the edge of the penalty area. The thunderous volley now see's him at the 50th league goal mark for the Robins.

Following a great day at the office, May said: "What a feeling. There's been a couple of times this season where I've had a shot like the first goal and not connected well, but the first touch flicked it over my head and I just thought, I'm having a pop at it."
