Keena on a hard-fought draw and goal

30 March 2023

Robins striker Aidan Keena scored in Cheltenham Town's 2-2 draw last night against Sheffield Wednesday.

It was a terrific performance from Cheltenham, who took the lead in the second half through Irishman Keena. The goal is now his second for the club, and sees him net in back-to-back matches after his first came in the win over Exeter City.

Strike partner Alfie May doubled Cheltenham's lead, but Wednesday's heavy pressure at the end was rewarded with two late goals, seeing the Robins take a point from the encounter.

"It's now five unbeaten, so we have hit form at the right time of the season," said Keena.

"None of us in the changing room are saying the job is done and we are safe, because there's still a lot of points to play for. It's a big point for us, as much as we would've liked the three."

The Robins' next game is against Burton Albion on Saturday, with tickets for the fixture available online.
