As part of National Autism Acceptance Week, Christian Norton and Shaun MacDonald visited Alderman Knight School to find out a bit more of the excellent work that goes on, as well as taking questions from pupils.
Club Ambassador Noah Millington attends Alderman Knight, a mixed special school, and showed the players around the facility, before putting the pair to the test with some insightful questions in his Q&A.
Noah has been using his experiences at the club to share with his fellow pupils and teachers at the school through assemblies and notice boards. In turn, Noah’s findings have been helping the club to become more aware of the importance of being inclusive and working out what areas we can improve the matchday experience for everyone.
We’d like to give a big welcome to the students of Alderman Knight, and also students from the National Star College as well who will be attending Saturday's game against Burton Albion.
A reminder that our game this weekend against Burton Albion is dedicated to Autism Acceptance, a day before World Autism Day on Sunday. It's a chance to celebrate our supporters, as well as recognising how inclusive and accessible the matchday experience is for fans.
