Robert Street is a Robin

30 June 2023

Cheltenham Town are delighted to announce the signing of striker Robert Street from Premier League outfit Crystal Palace upon the expiry of his contract.

The 21-year-old arrives at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium on a three-year-deal having spent the entirety of the 2022/23 season on loan at Shrewsbury Town.

Street netted four goals and notched four assists during his time in Shropshire, kicking on from his loan spell with Newport County during the previous season.

Born in Oxford, Street made his way through the academy ranks with the Eagles and arrives at Cheltenham for his first permanent move away from Selhurst Park.

The Robins fought off several other clubs for Street's signature and are extremely pleased to welcome Rob to Gloucestershire.

Head of Recruitment Russell Milton had this say on Rob's signing:

"Rob has been on our radar for 18 months and we're delighted now to have him here.

"He's a real handful upfront with a great all-round game, pace, technique and physicality.

"But most importantly he has a brilliant attitude and temperament, he's a young lad who plays well beyond his years.

"I'm sure the fans will love how he plays."

Welcome to Cheltenham Rob!
