Pardington joins the Robins

Cheltenham Town have signed young goalkeeper Jamie Pardington on a one-year-deal following his departure from Larne.

The 22-year-old links up with the Robins having spent a brief spell on trial in GL52 before picking up an injury before the 2022/23 season.

Pardington began his career with Rushall Olympic before signing for Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018.

Loan spells with the likes of Bath City, Dulwich Hamlet and Mansfield Town followed before he made his way to Grimsby Town at the start of last term. 

Pardington then joined eventual NIFL Premiership champions Larne, making his debut on the final day of the season.

Head of Recruitment Russell Milton had this to say on Jamie's arrival:

"When Jamie was with us at the start of last season he showed real promise and everyone was very impressed with him," began Milton.

"He's a keeper with good attributes good size, good technique and presence and he's someone we want to develop.

"We'll aim to get him out for games, a couple clubs are already interested in Jamie."
