The Robins held Championship outfit Bristol City to a 1-1 draw in our last pre-season match at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium of the Summer.
George Tanner opened the scoring for the visitors before Aidan Keena fired home from the penalty spot in the second half to even the scores.
It was the visitors who were first to come close as Harry Cornick found space in the box before his effort was deflected behind for the game's first corner.
The Robins' first chance came just after the 20 minute mark as Dan Adshead worked the ball to Keena before the forward blasted his long range effort over the bar.
Cornick came even closer for City five minutes later when a powerful cross from Anis Mehmeti found the head of the attacker but not the goal, as the ball rose over the bar.
Nigel Pearson's side would take the lead however four minutes before the break, Tanner powering his controlled volley into the bottom corner after a cross from the left.
After the break and it was a slow start to the second half that eventually saw the Robins awarded a penalty just after the hour mark.
George Lloyd raced his way into the area and was just too quick for Matty James, whose late challenge brought down the speedy striker.
Up stepped Keena and his powerful effort was too much for Max O'Leary who couldn't stop the Robins marksman from netting his second goal of pre-season.
And the Irishman very nearly won it for the Robins late in the day but his powerful effort from the edge of the box flew just wide of O'Leary's far post.
It was another important run out for Wade Elliott and his side who take on Newport County this Saturday in the final game of the Robins pre-season campaign.
