Cheltenham Town can confirm that first team coach Marcus Bignot has left the club to join Shrewsbury Town as assistant head coach.
The former Solihull Moors and Grimsby Town manager arrived at the club in July 2022 and played a big role in the defensive side of the first team during the 2022/23 season.
A former defender himself, Bignot made over 600 career appearances in his playing days before turning his attentions to coaching.
Marcus now heads to the Croud Meadow, working under new Salop boss Matt Taylor and former Cheltenham Director of Football Micky Moore.
The Robins would like to thank Marcus for his efforts and wish him well during his time in Shropshire and in the future.
The club will now begin the search for a new first team coach to replace the departing Bignot.
