Wade Elliott "could not of been prouder" of his side following their harsh exit from the Papa Johns Trophy.
The Robins lost 3-2 on penalties after drawing 1-1 in 90 minutes with second in League One Argyle.
Alfie May broke the deadlock in the second half, but substitute Ryan Hardie quickly equalised for the home side.
Following the match, head coach Elliott believed the performance was everything he could've asked for of his side.
"I'm immensley proud. I couldn't be more proud of them," said Elliott.
"They've given a good representation of what we are. Hard-working, honest, committed, with a sprinkling of quality as well."
