Robins sign Cameron Peupion on loan

29 August 2023

Cheltenham Town are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Cam Peupion on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Australian youth international becomes the Robins tenth signing of the summer, making the switch from Sussex to Gloucestershire for the season.

Born in Sydney, Peupion began his career with his boyhood club Sydney FC, where he played for the A-League outfit's youth team.

In the Summer of 2020 Peupion made the move to England, joining the academy setup at Brighton.

The 20-year-old made his Seagulls debut last term, coming on and assisting Evan Ferguson, in a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Forest Green Rovers.

He made his Premier League debut toward the end of last season, coming on for the late stages of Brighton's 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.

The exciting youngster netted eight times and registered five assists in Premier League 2 last campaign, including a hat trick against Manchester City.

Peupion met and trained with his new teammates this morning in preparation for this weekend's visit of Barnsley to the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

Speaking to the CTFC media team after his arrival, Cam said:

"I'm really excited, I just want to get stuck in now and hopefully help the boys and maybe turn things around a little bit.

"I feel ready for that next challenge, hoping to play week in week out and I feel now is the time to come and prove myself in first team football.

"I'm a creative player and I like to try and make things happen. I want to score goals, get assists, try and help the team that way."

Peupion's home and away player sponsorship packages are now available. Email Luke.Saunders@ctfc.com for more details or to reserve.
