Cheltenham Town are delighted to welcome young centre-back Owen Bevan to the club on loan from AFC Bournemouth.
The Cherries development squad captain joins the Robins on a season-long-loan, becoming our ninth signing of the Summer.
Bevan first joined Bournemouth at the age of nine, where he began his young career as a central midfielder.
He came through the academy ranks on the south coast, eventually reverting back to a centre-half.
The 19-year-old made his professional debut for his parent club back in August 2022, starring in a Carabao Cup tie against Norwich City.
A Wales youth international, whom he qualifies for through his mother, Bevan already has first team experience under his belt, after loan spells with both Truro City and Yeovil Town.
He made 31 appearances for the Glovers in the National League last term, scoring in a 2-2 draw with Solihull Moors.
Bevan will train with his new teammates for the first time tomorrow morning, ahead of this weekend's League One clash with Northampton Town.
After putting pen to paper in Gloucestershire, Bevan said:
"I'm buzzing really. I think it's a big step in my career coming up to League One, it's exactly what I need and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"For me most importantly, it's always defend first. I like to be aggressive, on the front foot but I like to play a bit too, nice and composed.
"It'll be good to get out in front of the fans and hopefully get our first win of the season this weekend."
Head of Recrutiment Russell Milton added:
"We're delighted to welcome Owen to the club. He's a welcomed addition who will further add to our squad.
"He's a good and solid all round defender with good atrributes in all aspects of the game, particularly defending.
"It's been a little while coming but we're happy to finally get the deal done and we're looking forward to having him here at Cheltenham."
Welcome to the Robins Owen!
