Town manager Wade Elliott gave his assessment after today's 0-0 draw with Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
The draw saw the Robins pick up their first point of the season in a bizzare clash in Hampshire that saw two injuries to officials and 21 minutes of second half stoppage time.
Speaking after the result Elliott said:
"We asked the lads for a Cheltenham-type performance, what we have been about for the last few years.
"Being gritty, together, organised, hard to beat, carry a threat. I thought to a man they delivered that.
"Its a great performance. Now we've got some building blocks to take into next week and kick on from."
