Three first-half goals from the Robins were enough to seal the victory, with Alfie May bagging a brace and Aidan Keena also netting.
The victory at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium confirmed Cheltenham's saftey in Sky Bet League One for next season, after reaching the 50 point milestone.
"You've seen the quality of the league and the stature of some teams, and we have to get it right to even be competitive, let alone to do what we have done.
"We didn't think after staying up last season that we have a god given right to stay in the league, and it's a big achievement."
