Taylor on his time at Cheltenham

28 April 2023

Caleb Taylor reflected on his time at Cheltenham Town this season and gave his thoughts on Wycombe Wanderers ahead of the game tomorrow.

On-loan from Championship side West Bromwich Albion, the young defender has made 47 appearances for the Robins in what has been his first professional season in the game.

Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday's away match against Wycombe Wanderers, Taylor said: "It's been a very good campaign for me. I've learnt so much throughout the season and gained a lot of experience playing week in and out, and overall I'm very happy with how the season has gone.

"Coming in at the start of the season, I didn't realise how hard it would be. Every game is so tough, and you need to stay physically and mentally switched on for the whole match."

The 20-year-old has scored twice in League One for Cheltenham, and his goal against Exeter City in our 3-1 win is a standout moment during his time at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

"There's been lot's of ups and downs. Possibly the goal against Derby County on my birthday, but we didn't win the game. I would say the Exeter match was my favourite moment, scoring an important goal to help the team win."

Tickets and travel for our trip to Adams Park is still available online, but supporters can also purchase tickets on the day at the stadium. Please remember it is a cashless stadium.
