May following his brace against Forest Green Rovers

22 April 2023

Alfie May spoke to the press following his impressive performance in Cheltenham's 3-1 win over Forest Green Rovers.

May bagged two goals in the game, with Aidan Keena also scoring to ensure the game was done before half time.

The victory at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium confirmed Cheltenham's saftey in Sky Bet League One for next season, after reaching the 50 point milestone.

"At the start of the season, people probably thought we were favourites to go down. We just stayed quiet and knew what we had to do," said May.

"It's a tough league this year. Maybe now people might stop saying, 'little old Cheltenham.' We are a League One team...we'll see you next year."
