Veteren midfielder Liam Sercombe is amongst the nominees after a string of impressive performances for the Robins in October. The 32-year-old scored from the spot against his former side Bristol Rovers, and has continued his strong consistent performances in the heart of the midfield for Cheltenham. He was also named in the EFL Team of the Week after our 1-0 victory over Morecambe.

Luke Southwood is up for contention for the October Player of the Month as the Robins kept four clean sheets in the league. The 24-year-old has a save percentage of 71%, including dive to deny Burton Albion from the penalty spot.

West Bromwich Albion loanee Caleb Taylor continues to excell for the Robins. The September Player of the Month could win back-to-back awards after another good run of performances at the back for Cheltenham. In the Robins' 1-0 home victory over Morecambe, the 19-year-old joined Sercombe in being named in the EFL Team of the Week.

Lewis Freestone, like centre-back partner Taylor, has also maintained his excellent form for Wade Elliott's side. In response to his great start to the season, the Robins faithful have a new song for the 23-year-old, who after biding his time at the club, is now flourishing with consistent game time. Freestone is the only outfield player to play in every League One game this season so far.

The Player of the Month will be announced next week.
