Reaction: Duff on MK Dons

9 March 2022

A better second half performance and a fighting spirit throughout were positives for Michael Duff after he saw his side lose at MK Dons.

Facing the in form team in the division, the Robins slipped to a 3-1 loss at Stadium MK.

The team were two goals down at the break but dominated possession in the second half until the Championship targeting Dons netted a late third. Will Boyle's header proved to be a consolation.

"We played a good team today. I had a complaint about the corner for the first goal, which doesn’t help. But we were probably a bit too passive in the first half," he said.

"We changed it second half and had a go. That’s 26 points from a possible 30 they have just taken, so they are a good team, but Owen (Evans) hasn’t had to make loads of saves and we’ve had as many shots as them.

"I am not saying we deserved to win the game by any means, but sometimes you have to lick your wounds and move on.

"There needs to be a reset button when a goal goes in, for and against. No complaints, they are a good team, I wish them all the best."
