Will Boyle believed Cheltenham Town's second half showing was better than their first half performance in Tuesday's defeat at MK Dons.
The central defender got on the scoresheet for the first time since his winning goal against Ipswich Town back in August with a late consolation goal at Stadium MK.
He admitted the hosts, who are pushing for promotion to the Championship, were not tested massively on the night and that conceding twice in quick succession in the first half proved costly.
"They were comfortable probably throughout. First half they dominated it but in saying that they didn't create massive amounts of chances," he said.
"Conceding a goal straight after the first one is massively disappointing because it's an uphill task obviously from there.
"It was a bit of a strange game really. It was quite flat."
