Preview: Duff on Doncaster Rovers

4 March 2022

Despite Saturday's opposition finding themselves in a fight to avoid relegation, Michael Duff has fired a warning at his players about their recent impressive record away from home.

Doncaster Rovers make a trip south to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium for Saturday's 3pm kick-off.

They are scrapping to get away from relegation trouble, while Cheltenham themselves are also looking for the points needed to edge closer to confirming another season in the third tier.

Donny have won away at the likes of Lincoln City, Sunderland and MK Dons in some of their most recent away trips and will be eyeing up Saturday's trip as another big opportunity having defeated the Robins earlier on in the season.

"Doncaster are on a decent run. Their form isn't bottom four form," Duff said.

"I think they've taken ten points from their last five away games which is better than promotion winning form because you normally do that at home.

"We know that they're scrapping for their lives. They've given themselves a chance so they'll be coming here thinking this is definitely a winnable game.

"So we need to be aware of that."
