Good luck, Josh

30 March 2022

First team sports scientist Josh Harris has left Cheltenham Town after four years to take up a new position at Bath Rugby.

Over the past few seasons Harris has been a key part of the first team managerial set-up, leading on the sports science and fitness of the squad in a period that saw the team earn promotion into League One as League Two title winners last season.

He originally joined the Robins in February 2018 working in the academy set-up as a strength & conditioning coach having previously worked at the Welsh Rugby Union.

In November 2018 he stepped up to the first team squad working under the newly appointed Michael Duff as sports scientist.

Now though Josh has moved onto pastures new and has linked up with Premiership Rugby side Bath as their new sports scientist.

Sammy Gilchrist has stepped up from the academy to act as first team sports scientist and has been in position for a number of weeks working with the players for the final stages of the League One season.

Writing in his programme notes ahead of the AFC Wimbledon game, chairman David Bloxham said: "I would like to offer Josh our best wishes in his new job and thank him for his contribution to our success during his time with us."

We would all like to wish Josh all of the best for the future and thank him for the role he's played here at Cheltenham in the past few years.
