Ellis Chapman pens new deal

7 June 2022

We are excited to announce that Ellis Chapman has agreed a new two-year deal, extending his stay at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium until 2024.

The young midfielder initially joined Cheltenham Town at the start of the 2020/21 season from Lincoln City, his hometown club where he broke into the first team at the age of 16.

His performances soon attracted the attention of Leicester City, joining the Foxes in 2016 before returning to Sincil Bank two years later.

The 21-year-old left-footer was signed by Michael Duff at the start of the title winning campaign and went on to make 25 appearances.

Ellis added a further 33 in all competitions last season, scoring one goal in the 2-2 Papa John's Trophy tie against Exeter City.

In total he has played on 58 occasions for the club and has played a key role in the club's remarkable success since his arrival in Gloucestershire.
