Ryan Jackson becomes Cheltenham Town's sixth signing

21 July 2022

Cheltenham Town have completed the signing of former Gillingham full-back Ryan Jackson on a one-year contract, supported by the Little Jet Company.

Jackson, who has over 400 career appearances, joins the Robins with a wealth of experience in the EFL. He's had spells at Colchester United, Newport County, Macclesfield Town, AFC Wimbledon, and most recently the Gills.

The right-back becomes Cheltenham's sixth signing after Tom Bradbury, Dan Adshead, Dan Nlundulu, Shaun MacDonald and Taylor Perry, who have all joined this summer.

Now his future for the season is secured, the 31-year old was eager to get the season underway.

"I'm delighted to sign. There's a short space of time until the season starts, but I'm really looking forward to getting started," said Jackson.

"I feel like my experience can help the team and contribute to winning games, but this season is a challenge I'm looking forward to taking on."

The defender joins ahead of our final pre-season friendly against Northampton Town. You can purchase tickets for the game online now for a discounted rate, or on gameday at the ticket office.
