Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kion Etete has joined Cheltenham Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 6'4'' forward makes the switch to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at League Two side Northampton Town.

With the Cobblers he made 23 appearances in all competitions and scored six times, helping them reach the promotion places in the fourth tier.

He began his career at the age of just 16 when he made his debut in League Two for Notts County where he was a product of the youth system at Meadow Lane.

His early experiences in the Football League brought him to the attention of Spurs who signed him in the summer of 2019 at the age of 17.

Following time spent in the under-18s and under-23s squad at the Tottenham Stadium the 20-year-old embarked on a first loan spell at Northampton this season but was recalled by his parent club earlier this month, now making his next move to the Robins.

Robins boss Michael Duff commented on his signing saying: "He has been out on loan and had a successful loan at Northampton. He's 6'4'', runs in behind, can hold it up, we think he's a good young player so we're delighted to have him.

"He came on the radar in the summer but we weren't quite sure he was ready for League One but kept tabs on him. So we think he's going to be a good addition to the squad."

He began training with the team today ahead of the build up to Saturday's away fixture at Rotherham United.

Etete's player sponsorship is now available. Email luke.saunders@ctfc.com to enquire into sponsoring the new arrival.

The signing announcement is made in association with official signing partners, The Little Jet Company.
