Conor Thomas said there were some positives to take from Saturday's defeat on the road at Rotherham United.
The former Swindon Town midfielder played the full 90 minutes against the Millers as his side failed to find a way of earning a draw from the game in the second half.
Rotherham were robust and got the goal they needed in the opening 45 minutes to continue their push for an immediate return back to the Championship, and for the second half showing from the team Thomas didn't think the players were too far away from snatching something from the game.
"They are a good side," he said. "First half we probably struggled to get a foothold in the game but it was still quite even.
"Second half we gave it a good go and probably didn't get the luck or the ball didn't quite fall for us.
"But second half the gaffer has just said to us there he was pleased with the performance.
"Overall it is disappointing but there are positives in the performance."
