Reaction: Duff on Wigan Athletic

29 January 2022

After seeing his team claim a point against top of the league Wigan Athletic, Michael Duff praised his players hard work and organisation.

Wigan came to town having won seven consecutive matches in all competitions, but a determined Robins performance kept them at bay for their first trip to Gloucestershire in just under two decades.

"It was a tight game. If we'd have won they'd have felt it was harsh and probably vice versa," Duff said.

"We were well in the game. We had the better moments in the game. There wasn't a lot of them.

"I think the referee has missed a penalty. There were a lot of fouls around the pitch. They key decisions we don't seem to be getting at the minute.

"It was a really good performance - really organised, really hard working, and a clean sheet which we've not had for a while so there's lots of positives within it."

There are also three Kids for a Quid fixtures coming up at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium too.
