Captain Will Boyle was satisfied with the way Cheltenham Town performed in Saturday's goalless draw with promotion chasing Wigan Athletic.
Wigan made the visit to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium for the first time in just under two decades and took only a point with them back to the DW Stadium.
Throughout Cheltenham battled and could have earned more than just a point themselves, and Boyle was pleased with the showing they produced against a team who have been in sensational form on the road this season.
"Both teams will feel like they've scrapped well, tried to do the basics well, first contacts and second balls," he said.
"There wasn't massive amounts of quality in the game but we feel like we acquitted ourselves quite well.
"The way the game panned out we feel like we probably edged it on chances so it was a hard fought game.
"They're obviously top of the table so they've got quality in the side but we felt like we held our own and did okay."
