Lloyd returns from Vale loan

13 January 2022

It has been confirmed that George Lloyd's loan at Port Vale has come to an end and the striker has returned to Cheltenham Town.

The 21-year-old linked up with League Two Vale at the start of August 2021 on a season-long loan, however an injury problem that has kept him out of action since mid-November has forced the loan to be terminated.

In total Lloyd made 17 appearances at Vale Park in all competitions.

He found the back of the net twice, scoring in the FA Cup against Accrington Stanley and in a Papa John's Trophy victory over Liverpool under-21s.

Lloyd is now back at the training ground in Cheltenham to receive treatment and rehabilitation for his injury as he plans a return to playing in the second half of the campaign.
