Earlier this month 16-year-old Will Armitage's transfer from Cheltenham Town to Southampton was confirmed.
The central defender has joined the Premier League club from the Robins having made impressive progress in his time with the academy at the club.
Academy manager Antoine Thompson, under-18s manager Pete Haynes and Head of Academy Coaching Tim Bell have been reflecting on Armitage's time at Cheltenham and how his transfer to the top flight with the Saints provides the inspiration for future academy talents at the club.
