Reaction: May on AFC Wimbledon

2 February 2022

Alfie May knows that Cheltenham Town need to improve in areas of managing games after conceding a late equaliser against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday night.

Aaron Cosgrave struck on 80 minutes to rescue a point for Wimbledon after Cheltenham had led for much of the game thanks to May's first half brace.

The front man netted twice in the space of a few first half minutes, including one from the penalty spot, to see the team net twice in the League for the first time since mid-December.

"The second half was difficult. They were on top and it felt like wave after wave," he said.

"That's where we know we need to show our quality and maybe get the first pass off and try and not concede.

"We've come away from home and we've got a good point against Wigan and we've come here and we've got another good point."
