Reaction: Duff on Fleetwood Town

12 February 2022

Boss Michael Duff praised his players as they made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 win over Fleetwood Town.

The first of three Kids for a Quid games at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium saw first half goals from Alfie May and Charlie Raglan lead to maximum points for the second time in five days after the midweek victory over Sunderland.

Duff was pleased to see what the players had been working on in training positively impact the game as the team moved nine points clear of the League One relegation zone.

"It was comfortable because we were good," he said.

"We have just gone two-and-a-half months without winning a game, so to back it up was good.

"Fleetwood are a dangerous team. They have only lost one in seven or eight themselves.

"It could have been more because we've hit the crossbar and the inside of the post. It could have looked a lot more comfortable, but I didn't think we looked in any sort of danger."
