Preview: Wright on Wycombe Wanderers

18 February 2022

Securing consecutive wins have been good for the team's confidence admits Callum Wright ahead of a difficult trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

The squad have taken six points out of a possible six from their last two fixtures against Sunderland and Fleetwood Town.

Now the aim is to continue that form but it will be a tough ask at Adams Park this weekend against a Wycombe side determined to push for promotion this term.

"The last two games have been good for the confidence and seeing a little bit of reward for the performances," Wright said.

"They're a good side, they're a tough side to play. They came down from the Championship last year so we knew that when we played them last time.

"I don't think there was too much in the game last time. They were really good at what they done - second balls and stuff like that - but we more than battled with them.

"They scored two late goals I think but it's going to be a whole different game this time. They're at home and we're more settled into the League. We know what's coming up more game after game so it's going to be a different game, but I'm sure we're ready for it."
