Preview: Duff on Fleetwood Town

10 February 2022

After Tuesday's key win over Sunderland, Michael Duff wants his team to get on the front foot again when Fleetwood Town are the visitors to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Saturday.

It's a second home outing in five days for the Robins as Fleetwood, who are four points behind in the table, make the trip down from Lancashire.

The match is another key fixture for Duff's men as they look to continue building the points that will see them move up the league table as the club aim to achieve only their second ever win over the Cod Army in the two club's histories.

"They're very similar to ourselves. You can dress it up how you want, they've not won in five but they've only lost one in five," Duff said.

"We believe that we've been playing well recently but we've not won in 12, but now you can dress it up as we've only lost one in six or seven.

"We know it'll be a difficult game. They beat us at their place. They are good at set plays and they've definitely got goals in the team.

"They can flip to one or two formations. They can quite comfortably go to a three or a 4-3-3.

"So as always it's going to be a difficult game but we're at home and it doesn't matter who we play at home we try and get on the front foot and try and do what we do."
