Match Pack: Exeter City

8 August 2022

It's a first Tuesday night game under the lights for Cheltenham Town on Tuesday evening, as Exeter City visit in the Carabao Cup.

The Robins host Matt Taylor's side in their first home tie in the competition since 2018, as they attempt to better last season's run which took them into the third round, with the match getting underway at 7:45pm.

Wade Elliott's side are looking for their first win of the 2022/23 season following narrow League One defeats to Peterborough United and Barnsley, coming up against another third tier outfit in the first round.

The gaffer has been previewing the fixture in his pre-match press conference, which can be viewed here.

Familiar opponents in Exeter City make the trip up the M5 to face the Robins having secured a fine first victory of the campaign against Port Vale at the weekend.

Managed by former Cheltenham defender Taylor, the Grecians won promotion to League One as runners-up last season and are yet to taste defeat after two matches.

Tickets and ground information

It's the club's first 'Kids for a Quid' matchday, which will see under-14 tickets reduced to £1 when bought in advance.

Almost 4,000 young fans took advantage of the offer in 2021/22 across six games and this is the first opportunity for supporters to do so again this season.

Please note that all under-14 ticket holders must be accompanied by an adult - with adult prices £12 when purchased in advance. Seniors, students and under-18s are £6.

The gates will open at 6:45pm, please note that the Optimising IT Stand and Tunnel standing areas are closed for this game.

Collections and on the day sales for the Colin Farmer Stand sponsored by JM Weston Construction can be made from the booth outside the stand.

Sales and collections for the Paddock and HGV Drivers UK Stand are from the ticket booth in the main car park - meanwhile away fans can purchase or collect their tickets from the Hazlewoods Stand.

There is limited availibility for parking at the stadium, which can be purchased online here.

The match programme will be available around the ground for £3 - it features an interview with Callum Ebanks as well as other content around the fixture including a quiz and notes from the head coach and chairman.

In case of any issues with the Wifi that may affect card machine payments in the main bar, supporters are advised to also bring cash for this area - this will be rectified as soon as possible.

The club shop will be open before the match from 6pm and shortly afterwards, along with the ticket office.
