Preview: Duff on Portsmouth

7 April 2022

Michael Duff was at Portsmouth's game at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night and he believes this weekend's opponents are stronger than the side his team faced earlier in the season.

It was back at the start of November that a Lewis Freestone goal earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Fratton Park.

Portsmouth visit the Jonny-Rocks Stadium this weekend with a slim chance of still making the play-offs so will be putting everything into getting a result from their trip to Gloucestershire, and Duff knows they possess plenty of quality for the level.

He said: "The squad they've got is really good. They've had a long week in terms of playing Bolton away on a Tuesday and then us away on the Saturday, but they've got that much quality in their squad they can change a few players and it won't make the team any weaker at all.

"They are a much improved team from what they were earlier in the season in my opinion. I think it will be a tough game."
